Brethren,

    It is my pleasure to announce the 47th Annual Rudolf Harper Labor Day BBQ. This event is a Douglasville Lodge tradition that the entire city has come to depend on. The BBQ is the termination point of the Labor Day Shriner Parade and offers something for the whole family. There will be good BBQ, arts and crafts vendors, historical displays and attractions for children. We are especially proud of the fact that this year we will be hosting a Georgia Child Identification Program.

    Please note that the BBQ will be held at Douglasville Lodge

due to the construction at Hunter Park!

 

    As usual, the Senior Warden, Paul Gardner, will be heading up the BBQ. We will need workers to help set up  and workers to help prepare and serve BBQ. Any assistance you may be able to offer should be coordinated through him.

Please keep the following times on your calendar:

Sunday, September 5th at 1:00 pm. - Meet at the Lodge and start set up

Monday, September 6th All Day - BBQ at Douglasville Lodge

    I encourage all members of Douglasville Lodge # 289 to come enjoy camaraderie through labor, fellowship through family gathering and a sense of involvement through community participation.
